Be close to adults whenever possible.

It’s much more difficult for kids to tease and bully other kids when an adult is nearby. Teach kids to become aware of adult proximity.  If they are being bullied or teased, teach them NOT make it easy for the bully to accomplish his goal!

Example: If kids tease you on the bus and you choose to sit in the back of the bus, change your seat and sit closer to the front near the bus driver. If you have an assigned seat and cannot move, ask the driver to change your seat. If this does not work tell your parents about what is happening and ask them to call to get your seat changed. Remember – whenever you have the choice, ALWAYS choose to be near an adult.
